BOTW

Yes, I know I'm already a week behind! This BOTW is actually a series, so I feel as if I'm making it up. :0)

Melody Carlson writes True Colors a series of chic lit books that focus on edgy but relevant topics. While we have all 12 titles in the series here at RHS, it's very rare to find more than a few on the shelf! Try them out!

Twitter--Hip or Hype?

"Twittering Tips for Beginners" is an interesting article by NY Times technology columnist, David Pogue. It contains some great tips for using Twitter. I'll be honest, I haven't done a lot with Twitter, but I know some people absolutely love it. What do you think?

BOTW

I'll be trying to feature a "Book of the Week" each week. Hopefully I'll keep it up! Each book will be one from our media center.

The Hot Zone: A Terrifying True Story by Richard Preston is a thriller, but readers should beware that it's a bit gruesome in parts!

Here's what Stephen King had to say about it:
"The first chapter of The Hot Zone is one of the most horrifying things I've read in my whole life--and then it gets worse. That's what I keep marveling over: it keeps getting worse. What a remarkable piece of work."

Wordle

Wordle is a super fun site that allows you to create word collages. You can type in words or copy and paste them. The layout, font, colors, etc. can all be edited! It's really fun. The picture below is one based on the words of President Elect Obama's acceptance speech.
