Hi Everyone!

I'm excited to be back after my long break starting last spring! Stop by to see pictures of my family's new edition!

Book Club is back in full swing. We had our first meeting on September 20th, and we currently have 44 kids signed up! Thank you to those who volunteered at our table during the all school picnic. The winner for our t-shirt drawing was Emily Falkowski! We will be meeting again Tuesday, October 4 in the Media Center. If you want email notifications, please send me one or stop by to talk to me. We are also going to be putting together a Literary Arts Magazine this year. If you're interested, please see me.

On November 18, Jonathan Friesen returned to Rogers High School for another author visit. We absolutely love having him here because his message is so relevant and speaks to so many people.

We're so excited to have Jonathan Friesen return to our school this year. He will be with the 9th grade English classes on Thursday, November 18. Parents and community members can also see him at our free community event. You won't want to miss his story "Life with Tourette Syndrome: A Personal Story of Hope."

ABCya! Word Clouds

ABCya! Word Clouds is a site very similar to Wordle.  However, it does allow users to save the image as a .jpg file!  Check it out! 

Live Binders

Check out the cool website Live Binders!  There is also a short video describing how Live Binders work; look for it on the right hand side.

It's an interactive binder where you can store a ton of work!  If you struggle with organization, this might be a great tool to use!

Book Club

Our first Book Club meeting will be Tuesday, September 21! Like last year, we will meet before school and during all four lunches! We will continue to meet in the conference room in the Media Center.  Stop by anytime to sign up and get on the email list.  Also, we are on Facebook too (see the link on the upper right hand side).

New Novella by Stephanie Meyer!!!!

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner will be coming out soon! It's about Bree Tanner a newborn vampire, and it's a great fit with Eclipse. According to the Official Stephanie Meyer Website, it's Meyer's version of a short story. Check it out for more information.  While it's not on the shelves yet, it can be pre-ordered  from Barnes & Noble.  We'll have it in the Media Center as soon as we can.
